HORIZON PLASTIC ROLLER SPECIFICATION

Horizon Plastic Conveyor Rollers and Idlers Sets are manufactured in-house to exceptionally high quality standards.

1) HDPE/FR - POLYMER TUBE: For general use. Fire resistant tubes can also be supplied if required.

2) SHAFT: Mild Steel or Stainless Steel Shafts can be fitted. We can machine a range of shaft end fixings, please view standard mounting types on inside back page of our brochure. Should you require a specials please contact us with your requirements.

3) BEARINGS: Generally Rubber Sealed (2RS) Bearings are supplied as standard, depending on application & customer specification.

4) CIRCLIPS: All Roller Shafts & Bearings are retained with Circlips.

5) BEARING HOUSINGS: Plastic Injection Moulded

6) OUTER RADIAL LABYRINTH SEAL: Precision moulded from Nylon, grease packed.

7) INNER RADIAL LABYRINTH SEAL: Precision moulded from Nylon, grease packed.

8) SEAL & GREASE RETAINER: Precision moulded seal, protects labyrinth, retains grease in the seal and helps keep out fine dust particles.

9) LARGE STATIONARY FLINGER SEAL: Precision moulded seal, protects labyrinth, designed to keep water and large stones penatrating into the seals.

10) STEEL SUPPORT TUBE: Steel support tubes are used in heavy duty applications and long returns roller. The support tube locks into the back of the bearing housings.

CORROSION RESISTANCE
HORIZON ROLLERS are highly corrosive resistant and can withstand corrosive chemicals, acids and alkalis.

ABRASION RESISTANCE
HORIZON ROLLERS have been subjected to continuous abrasion in very extreme quarrying, coastal and industrial applications.

LIGHT WEIGHT
HORIZON ROLLERS are approximately one third less in weight than most steel rollers. Lighter weight but with superior strength this means less energy to drive the conveyor. Considerable savings can be made when transporting the Horizon Plastic Rollers when compared to heavier Steel Rollers.

JAMMED ROLLERS
HORIZON ROLLERS have been intentionally jammed and prevented from rotating. No sharp cutting edges were formed and absolutely no damage was caused to the conveyor belt.

LOW NOISE OPERATION
HORIZON ROLLERS operate at a very reduced noise level especially when using mechanical clip joints, making our Plastic Rollers much more environmentally friendly than Steel Rollers.

EXCEPTIONAL MANUFACTURE
HORIZON ROLLERS are fully machined giving excellent concentricity.
